3 Ways to Save Outlook Emails to Microsoft Teams

Extending Microsoft Teams with MacroView captures critical additional metadata and views to enable effective management of Outlook emails in Teams. Experience Microsoft Teams from within Outlook today and share the knowledge.

1. Drag and Drop Save

Move Hundreds of Emails to any Microsoft Teams channel

The most popular method for saving single or multiple emails would be to ‘drag n drop’ them into Microsoft Teams channels. Your source email location can be either Outlook foldersExchange Public folders or even pst files. The MacroView client software will automatically copy all relevant email and document properties across to the Teams channel. The email will be saved with a unique meaningful name based on key metadata which prevents duplicate filenames. In addition, an Outlook category saved flag is appended to the emails with the destination location referenced in the saved items.

The second approach is to use the integrated ribbon menu which can found on the Outlook home ribbon as well as the individual email items. With this option you have the advantage of saving attachments separately by selecting the appropriate ribbon button.

Both the MacroView DMS Pro and MacroView DMS client packages contain integrated buttons in Outlook. In addition, MacroView DMS Pro includes integrated buttons in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat/Reader. It also includes a SharePoint File Explorer.
